Technology firm Amazon has decided to lay off thousands of people.

Amazon's CEO says he is working on a package to cut 18,000 jobs, cutting costs.

According to the company's chief executive, only six percent of the company's three lakh-strong corporate workforces will be cut.


According to Amazon, employees are offered packages that include severance pay, and interim health insurance benefits.
